In The Arena is a 294-page field guide for Christian men in leadership who are tired of watching their own lives from the stands. It speaks directly to what Holt calls the Sunday-Monday Gap: the slow, quiet erosion of conviction that happens when a man's faith and his daily operation live in separate compartments.

Across nineteen chapters, the book moves from identity through internal warfare, confession, intentional living, daily habits, accountability, focus, emotional control, and the discipline of standing firm under pressure. It concludes with The Arena Manifesto, a fifteen-declaration code designed for daily use.

The book is not self-help and not prosperity gospel. It is a field guide for men who have already built something and are quietly losing ground underneath it. Holt writes from inside the arena: twenty-one years of sobriety, dialysis three days a week, and a career built under real constraints rather than ideal conditions.

Ryan Nelson Holt

Short bio (50 words)

Ryan Nelson Holt is the founder of RNH Media and author of In The Arena. He writes for Christian men in leadership who refuse to compartmentalize faith from how they lead, build, and live. Twenty-one years sober. On dialysis three days a week. Still in the arena.

Medium bio (100 words)

Ryan Nelson Holt is the founder of RNH Media and author of In The Arena: Leading, Building, and Fighting the Good Fight. His work is built for the Thinking Christian Operator: the man between thirty and fifty-five who leads something real, takes his faith seriously, and has begun to notice the slow erosion of conviction that success often conceals. Ryan has twenty-one years of sobriety and is on dialysis three days a week. He writes, teaches, and builds from inside the constraints rather than around them. His brand essence is one line: Faith proven through disciplined execution.

Long bio (200 words)

Ryan Nelson Holt is the founder of RNH Media, a faith-driven leadership platform, and the author of In The Arena: Leading, Building, and Fighting the Good Fight. He built RNH Media to serve the man he calls the Thinking Christian Operator: the entrepreneur, executive, or business owner between thirty and fifty-five who is serious about his faith, successful by most external measures, and quietly losing ground underneath the success.

His authority comes from being inside the arena himself. Twenty-one years of sobriety. Three dialysis sessions per week. A career in regulated financial services that required building discipline under constraint rather than under ideal conditions. He is a licensed Financial Advisor affiliated with Mutual of Omaha Investor Services. RNH Media operates as a separately approved Outside Business Activity focused entirely on leadership development and educational content.

Theological influences include Chuck Missler, David Pawson, and Michael Heiser. Ryan's content rejects the prosperity gospel and hustle culture with equal conviction, positioning instead around what he describes as the daily reckoning of a man who means what he says on Sunday and is willing to be held to it on Monday. His brand essence: Faith proven through disciplined execution.

What Ryan can speak to.

The Sunday-Monday Gap

Why Christian men in leadership operate with their faith and their work in separate compartments, what it costs them, and the architecture required to close it.

Leading Under Constraint

Building a media company and writing a book while managing dialysis three days a week. What constraint forces you to get right that abundance lets you avoid.

Drift and the Dangerous Middle

The specific kind of leadership failure that happens not in crisis but in success. Why men who are winning externally are often losing ground underneath it.

Faith Without Prosperity Gospel

What a theologically serious, operationally rigorous faith actually looks like in a boardroom, on a P&L, and in the first hour of a Monday morning.

Sobriety and Male Formation

Twenty-one years of sobriety as a framework for accountability, discipline, and the kind of brotherhood that actually holds men to who they say they are.

Brotherhood vs. Isolation

Why male isolation is a structural problem, not a character flaw, and what the architecture of real accountability looks like for men who lead alone.
